Economic and Technological development Zone
ˇˇˇˇQingdao
Economic and Technological development Zone was
approved in October 1984 by the State Council to
be a state-lass economic and technologic development
zone. It is located in the west coast of Jiaozhou
Bay, facing the old Qingdao city and links with
Jiaonan city on the west. The total area is 220km2,
and the population is 300,000. The scene is very
beautiful as it is around by mountains and sea.
This zone could enjoy preferential policies given
by the State. Up to now, some industries that stressed
developed were established preliminarily, such as
electrical household equipment, iron and steel,
auto, shipping building and repairing and oil chemistry.
